German technologies for Green Hydrogen to be presented by Fraunhofer Chile at Exponor 2022

As part of the Germany Pavilion and under the slogan "Made in Germany", a delegation from Fraunhofer Chile, headed by its General Manager Dr. Frank Dinter, will participate in this new version of Exponor 2022, an international event organised by the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA), which will feature more than 700 exhibitors from all over the world.

In this context, the delegation will be part of different talks and panel discussions, including the Green Hydrogen programme organised by Quintil Valley and the CORFO Antofagasta Committee, in which Marco Vaccarezza, Business Development Leader of Fraunhofer Chile, will address important topics including the challenges of H2V generation in Chile and Latin America, among others. The conference will take place in the Chuquicamata Hall on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 June.

On the other hand, and to socialise the work being carried out by the Antofagasta Green Hydrogen Hub (H2VA) - an initiative led by CICITEM, in which Fraunhofer Chile and Club de Innovación are Co-executors -, the Project Coordinator and Business Development Specialist Thomas Lindsey, will give a talk on "Green Hydrogen, a perspective towards the development of Suppliers and Human Capital" in an event organised by CEIM.

Fraunhofer ISE

As part of the official German delegation led by Franziska Brantner,  Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Technologies (Fraunhofer ISE), Prof. Dr. Hans-Martin Henning, will be present at this Exponor, who will present the wide potential of the Fraunhofer network in Germany and also in our country - through Fraunhofer Chile - for the development of technologies in the entire value chain of Green Hydrogen.

It should be noted that the Fraunhofer Chile Solar Energy Technology Centre develops projects and services in photovoltaic systems, solar thermal systems, storage and transversal technologies, such as water treatment, electromobility and green hydrogen (H2V). Among its services to the mining industry, it offers interesting initiatives such as RoadMap decarbonisation of industrial processes, Integration of Solar Thermal Systems and Photovoltaic Systems in industrial processes, Integration of the Green Hydrogen value chain and applied R&D capabilities.
