Last Friday, June 8, a delegation from Fraunhofer CSET visited the facilities of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, in the city of Valparaíso.

The visit was part of strengthening the existing collaboration agreement between both institutions, which is aimed at promoting innovation and industrial competitiveness in the country.

The visiting team, headed by the director of CSET, Frank Dinter, went through the different laboratories and facilities of the Advanced Center of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E), awaking great interest the laboratories of nanobiomaterials, Raman spectroscopy, electronic microscopy, electric mobility, the one of reverse photoemission, the anechoic chamber, the one of conversion of renewable energy, and the processing of voice and solar energy.

The group, which was welcomed by Samir Kouro, director of the Renewable Energies and Power Conversion line of AC3E, was also integrated by representatives of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, main partner and co-executor of the Fraunhofer Center for Solar Energy Technologies in Chile.

The participants shared a lunch and knew part of the research and technological development work being carried out today in the center of the seaport.
