Fraunhofer Chile ResearchThe General Management is responsible for the operation and direction of all FCR's units. It oversees business strategy, day-to-day operations and compliance with research objectives. It is responsible for narrowing the gap between academia and industry by fostering links between industry contacts and academic research groups.
Frank Dinter has been General Manager of the Foundation since October 16, 2021. He is a Mechanical Engineer and Ph.D. Eng. in Thermal Energy Storage Systems for CSP plants. In addition, he has served as Director of the Fraunhofer Chile Center for Solar Energy Technologies since February 2018.
His main mission as General Manager is to support the management and development of Fraunhofer in Chile and to intertwine the activities carried out in conjunction with Germany's Fraunhofer Institutes.
