The Scientific and Technological Center of the Antofagasta Region (CICITEM), the Innovation Club, and Fraunhofer Chile joined forces to launch the Green Hydrogen Hub Antofagasta project. This initiative was designed to boost sustainable development and competitiveness within the region's green hydrogen sector.
Over the course of eighteen months, Fraunhofer Chile led a comprehensive data collection effort to identify market gaps and the critical challenges hindering industry growth. The team analyzed and quantified specific use cases for green hydrogen and its associated technological services.
These strategic insights were gathered to catalyze the creation of a regional ecosystem covering the entire hydrogen value chain, fostering essential collaboration and synergies among public, private, and academic sectors.
