The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in cooperation with the innovation group APV-Resola have proven the feasibility of AgroPV technology with a 194 kWp pilot plant relized in Germany. The results showed that Agrophotovoltaics  increases land use efficiency by 60%.

As a result was initiated the technology transfer to countries with higher radiation levels and other weather conditions . In this context, three pilot plants were set up in Chile, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer CSET and Fraunhofer CSB centres.

On the other hand, in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ, a study is being carried out analyzing the possibility of installing Agro-photovoltaics  at shrimp farms located in Vietnam.
